"Rooted is a photo diary developed during the last years in a small village near Barcelona where my family come from and where I set my life in 2004. These images are the record of belonging physically and emotionally to this place. The accumulation of photograph leaded me to review all the material to build a compilation work with a clear emotional intent, with all the formal freedom that I can afford, and using a fragmented narrative in order that the work takes its full meaning with the massive amount of images. From snapshots to staged photography, I use all the resources without limit or prejudice; portraits, landscapes, animals and objects are the basic ingredients for the construction of diptychs, wall groups or sequences"
